Yoga has always been my landing pad amidst constant changes in my physical and mental surroundings. I was born in the Philippines, grew up in Canada, and have been living abroad for many years. I discovered yoga as a teenager and it has become a big part of my life since then. For me, yoga is about being playful, but powerful: a yoga practice brings up the good, the bad and the ugly, but also teaches us how to process it all with a little more kindness and a little less judgment for ourselves.

I have been a continuing yoga student since 2003 and have been lucky enough to study with my wonderful teachers Lalit Kumar, Ryan Leier, Tiagra Prem, Meghan Currie, Clara Roberts-Oss and Rebecca De Villa in the Ashtanga, Vinyasa (Krishnamacharya lineage) and Hatha traditions. I was trained as a yoga teacher in India with Himalaya Yoga Valley. I have been teaching yoga since 2011 and have taught classes in Canada, Switzerland and Myanmar. In my teaching and practice, I try to weave creative sequencing, breathwork and inclusive asanas with a sweet music playlist that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

This vinyasa flow yoga class links movement with breath (vinyasa) through a step-by-step progression (krama) towards an advanced or challenging posture (asana). Rooted in the Ashtanga yoga tradition, vinyasa krama yoga is suited for new as well as continuing yoga students. As music is an important element in my yoga classes, I strive to blend curated playlists with the flow of each yoga practice. See you on the mat!
