My path to Yoga originally developed through a love of surfing. Having grown up in Dorset, England, good waves cannot always be guaranteed. Luckily I discovered that the Yoga mat provided the perfect alternative to the surfboard. Both require balance, body awareness, flow and fun. I enjoy teaching different Yoga styles. My style is dynamic, creative and influenced by the breath but I equally love to teach a Yin style of practice with a focus on cultivating mindfulness, stillness, self-reflection and targeting the connective tissue within our bodies.
I have been lucky enough to complete the Yoga Alliance recognized Yin Yoga training module under the tuition of Josh Summers and I regularly attend workshops to develop my practice further. Currently I am studying towards a Master’s Degree in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching and I am fascinated by exploring the workings of the mind, through both Eastern Philosophy and Western Psychology. I am also offering private psychology coaching at Yoga Luna.
