YOUR COSY COCOON…

This is glamorous camping at its finest. Immerse yourself in nature whilst enjoying the luxury of modern home comforts, a fully fitted bathroom and incredible views of the mountains from the comfort of your bed covers.

Whitepod is a unique experience consisting of 18 individual eco pods, each with floor-to-ceiling views across the Alps and a private terrace. Their aim is to combine ecology and luxury ensuring they take care of both you and the environment. They have been granted a certificate of excellence from the 'Eco-Responsible Tourism Award’ and have been featured around the world in various publications because of their unique concept, architecture, and environmentally mindful approach.

Each pod is 7m in diameter and 4.3m high to the centre of the ceiling. You’ll have more than enough space to relax. Pods can have a king size double bed, or two single beds.

THE YOGA…

This is a weekend of continuous self-care; from good food to feel-good yoga, wonderful walks in nature, de-stress sessions in the on-site sauna, and evenings enjoying the long summer nights and star filled skies.

The yoga classes are designed to provide a mini retreat for both your body and mind. Yoga helps to release physical and emotional stress and tension by taking you through a sequence of postures designed to stretch, strengthen and support your body. We’ll play with both the Yin (more gentle) and Yang (more powerful) parts of the practice so you can see for yourself how yoga can be both challenging and calming at the same time.

The yoga classes can be adapted to suit all levels. Although they are suitable for beginners, I always recommend attending a few classes beforehand just so you’re familiar with some of the most popular postures.

For those of you who haven’t met me before - hello :) - you can read a bit about my teaching style here. You can also read my student testimonials here.

THE FOOD…

Breakfast is buffet style and consists of fresh fruits, wholesome breads, homemade jams, pastries, cereals, fresh fruit juices, cold meats, cheese, eggs and much more. In the afternoon you can top up your tummy at ‘tea-time’ - homemade pastries, fresh fruits, and tea and coffee. Lunch and dinner haven’t been included for the weekend simply so you have more freedom to explore the local area and tailor your free time to suit you. There is an on-site restaurant serving lunch and dinner if you’d prefer to stay close to ‘home’ and picnics can be arranged if you head off on a longer hike.

GOOD TO KNOW…

  • The retreat is accessible by car or public transport. There is free parking if you’re coming by car. If arriving with public transport the nearest train station is Monthey, from there, the number 63 bus takes you to Whitepod.

  • The pods are at an altitude of 1400m.

  • There is a 15-20 minute walk from reception to the pods. Please pack light as you’ll need to carry your own bags. Good walking shoes are recommended, although the path is pretty easy-going.

  • You’ll be given a headlamp when you check-in because there is limited night-time lighting in keeping with the environmentally friendly aspect. You’ll get a better view of the stars this way.

  • Free WiFi is available in the communal areas, but not in the individual pods. Perhaps use this as an opportunity for a digital detox.

  • Yoga mats are provided, although you are encouraged to bring your own if you have one.

  • You are most welcome to bring your dog(s) with you for a small additional fee. Please let me know in advance if you plan to do this. Unfortunately it’s humans only for the yoga.

  • It is possible for your children to join too, however please be aware that the minimum age for yoga is 15 years. Please discuss this with me directly if it’s something you’re interested in.
