Yoga und Kirtan

At this amazing event we'll meet up for a shared yoga session (60min) led by Lars, followed by a kirtan
(60min) led by Stijn.

Lars and his Friend Stijn have come together and want to offer you this holistic experience of yoga. The first part of the session will be a physical asana practice which represents Karma Yoga or the path of action (Karma-mārga) where we will link our breath and our movement. Allow your body to move through the sequence and allow your mind to turn off.
In the second part of the class we will move into Bhakti Yoga or the path of Devotion (Bhakti-mārga) during this session we will chant a selection of songs and mantras from the Indian tradition.
“Kirtan is a means of finding our way back to the core of our Being, to our heart, and to our connection with each other.” - Ragani Kirtan is a very special kind of music. Based on ancient chants, it has the ability to quiet the mind if listened to with intention. Everyone experiences kirtan differently. You can think of it as a sing-along. Singing is the heart of kirtan, though no one actually cares what you sound like. At a kirtan concert all voices merge together to become One Voice. Because kirtan has roots in India, many of the songs are sung in Sanskrit.

You can be completely immersed in the sound, with no words to distract the mind. The magic of the chants can then carry you within.”

This event is donation based.
