Vinyasa Yoga Basics Workshop with Valentine


A two hour workshop all about learning or refining the basics to build a safer and stronger practice.

This workshop is not only open to beginners but also to anyone who wishes to see in details the most common asanas (postures) and transitions of a vinyasa yoga practice.

In this workshop, we will cover:

- the signification and philosophy behind the word 'vinyasa'
- how to find your breath: focus on the yogic breath and ujjayi breath and how to use those efficiently in your practice
- focus on adho mukha svanasana (downward facing dog)
- focus on chaturanga dandasana and its transition to bhujangasana (cobra) and urdhva mukha svanasana (upward facing dog)
- sun salutations A, B and their modifications
- virabhadrasana (warrior) I, II, III, trikonasana (triangle), parsvakonasana (extended side angle)

We will work with props, the wall and also assist each other to find our alignment. We will finish with a long soothing savasana.
